Intrigue Rhodesian Ridgebacks

     Ridgebacks are very prey driven, and the field is an excellent place to view and appreciate functional structure in action.  Speed and agility in lure coursing come from correct conformation and overall balance.  The standard calls for an athletic sighthound, and this is exactly what we breed for in our program.

 We are members of RRCUS, our national breed club, and adhere to the code of ethics. Our dogs have passed OFA Hips, Elbows, MSU Thyroid, CERF, Cardiac, and ***DM DNA (Degenerative Myelopathy). 

In 2007, Gemini was #ONE Brood Bitch RRCUS (two-way tie), AND she WON the Brood Bitch class at the National Specialty. Intrigue tied for 3rd place Breeder, and Susan was the #2 Owner Handler.  We finished FIVE of Gemini's puppies that year, all owner-handled.

In 2008, Titan finished #4 in ASFA lure coursing, and Zuri finished #12 for the year. Titan WON Best of Breed at the ASFA International Invitational in Leesburg, Va.  Zuri WON the Open stake at the same event.  Both earned both their AKC and ASFA Field championships.  Titan won TWO Best in Fields, and Zuri earned one as well.  Titan was the #1 Region 7 ASFA Ridgeback.

 One of the staples of our breeding program is ridgebacks true to type with plenty of reach and drive.  Our foundation stock, Gemini and Apollo, provided us that.  Dogs placed in the show ring are required to have fluid, unrestricted movement, it is otherwise a pet in our program.
